Congaree Bluffs Preserve -an oasis in our own backyard

On May 24, your Conservation District hosted 61 fourth graders and their teachers from St Matthews K8 for a day at the Bluffs. Many agencies came together to offer hikes, wildlife id, bird watching, tree and soil activities and just plain fun being outdoors on a beautiful spring day. Thanks to the SC Forestry Commission, NRCS, DNR, Clemson Extension, Columbia Audubon, SC Wildlife Federation and stellar volunteers for their invaluable help.
